About this Event
Jack & Jill information:
*Open Level (Improver to Advanced)
*We recommend that you have at least 6months-1 year experience.
*There will only be 2 rounds with a potential tie-breaker
*The round will be held at around 10:30pm
*The setup will be a concentric circle (Leads on outside, Follows on inside)
*Leads will be paired with a random follow.
*Leads will move one place clockwise, the follows will remain stationary.
*There will be no rotations between rounds.
*There will be 2 styles of bachata played (modern and traditional) Randomly.

Judging:
*Competitors will be dancing simultaneously and judges will be evaluating each person.
*Each Lead judge will select a top 3 for Leads
(3 votes, 2 votes, 1 vote)
*Each Follow judge will select a top 3 for Follows
(3 votes, 2 votes, 1 vote)
*The judging criteria for comparison will be based on Timing, Musicality, Technique and Showmanship.
*If no clear winner by round 2 there will be tie breaker between the top 2 scorers.

We have a beautiful and spacious warehouse space where we can offer multiple specialized Bachata classes and plenty of room to social dance!
Step into the world of Latin dance every Thursday and experience the magic of Bachata Vibes – the ultimate weekly event where music, movement, and fun collide!
Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned dancer, our doors are open to everyone looking to further their learning, have a good time & make friends.
We will start each Thursday with a FREE first timers class followed by our lineup of four dynamic Bachata classes tailored to different skill levels, allowing you to progress at your own pace and expand your dance repertoire.
6:30pm FREE Intro to Bachata class:
First-timers and beginners, start your evening off with a complimentary class, where you'll learn the basics of Bachata.
We will run 2 classes on opposite ends of the floor at the same time from 7pm onwards.
7:00pm Bachata Basics level 1:
We recommend 3-4 weeks before you attempt level 2.
7:00pm Bachata Sensual Foundations level 3:
Ideally you would have done 6 months of our level 2 class and/or have been social dancing the same amount of time to join this class.
8:00pm Bachata Essentials & combos level 2:
Our biggest class. This is an open level class and suitable for most students who have been dancing 2 months to 2 years. We will cover all the must-know moves and combos.
8:00pm Int-adv Bachata Sensual level 4:
Ideally you would have been doing our Bachata Sensual Foundations or an equivalent elsewhere for 3-6 months and have been learning weekly and dancing socially for 1.5 years. You can ask for an assessment during the social. Please do not ask for one just before class.
At 9:00pm, we turn down the lights and start the party with Ducey Love & guests playing their favourite Bachata, from the old school to the new! We'll also be playing Salsa and Kiz during our 3 hour social.
