About this Event
Bach is one of the most significant representatives of the musical art of the Baroque era. No one compares Bach to his intuitive understanding of human nature, with his ornamental skills and innate talent as a playwright. His work is distinguished by the inclusiveness of genres (except for opera and ballet).
The composer combined the traditions of German culture, primarily the Protestant chant, with the achievements of the Austrian, Italian, and French schools. An unsurpassed master of polyphony, he combines this type of music with homophonic.
Organ music occupies a central place in the composer's instrumental heritage. The leading genre in Bach's legacy is the cantata, whose dramatic principles are embodied in his masses and passions. He rethought and updated the genres of a toccata, fantasy, passacaglia, and chorale prelude. A virtuoso performer, and one of the greatest connoisseurs of keyboard instruments, Bach created extensive literature for the clavier and became the author of one of the first clavier concertos.
Bach's compositions for violin, cello, flute, oboe, ensemble and orchestra - sonatas, suites, partitas, concertos - mark an expansion of the expressive and technical capabilities of the instruments, universalism in their interpretation.
During Bach's lifetime, a small part of his works was published. The accurate scale of the genius, which had a strong influence on the art of subsequent centuries, began to be realized only half a century after his death.
Treat yourself to a fabulously bright experience! This unique musical adventure will undoubtedly become one of the warmest, most beautiful, cosy memories in Christmas time.
