About this Event
Try something new for lunch. This spring, Bach at One, every Wednesday at 1pm from February 28 to May 1 in St. Paul's Chapel, expands its format to include large-scale works such as portions from Monteverdi’s 1610 Vespers and Domenico Scarlatti’s Stabat Mater. Performances feature The Choir of Trinity Wall Street and Trinity Baroque Orchestra, a period-instrument ensemble praised by The New York Times for its “dramatic vigor.”
The season kicks off with Bach’s St. John Passion, performed episodically over three weeks with additional excerpts Bach composed for an alternate version of the St. John Passion, as well as cantata movements he repurposed for the St. Mark Passion and the B Minor Mass.
