Carrying baby is not only helpful but an essential tool that is not only convenient but comes with immense benefit. This workshop will help you to explore how to utilize carriers and model to clients, as well as help them to find a carrier that works well for their needs and teach them how to use it. An excellent add value to your practice as a perinatal professional.

- Learn the roll of carriers historically and the evolution of carrier design
- Carrier compliance, labeling and regulations
- How to choose, compare / contrast, and recommend different carrier styles based on a family and baby's needs

- When to refer out or seek additional input
Having your own carriers is not required as there will be many to see and practice with, but please bring along any you have, as well as a teaching or practice doll if you have one.
Dress comfortably as we'll be moving, sitting, standing and practicing.
Lunch will be provided. Please let the host know if you have any dietary needs such as vegan, vegetarian or gluten free, or any allergies.One scholarship is available for a person of color. Instructor:
Laura Brown is a career babywearing consultant with over 15 years of experience teaching, consulting, working with brands and in retail. For almost 5 years she was education for Ergobaby baby carriers. She has traveled and taught worldwide, is a former board member of the Baby Carrier Industry Alliance, and founded one of the largest babywearing community groups, BabywearingLA. In addition to being a babywearing consultant, she is a full spectrum doula, certified lactation educator, child passenger safety technician, sleep consultant and reiki practitioner.
