About this Event


Need some ideas and tips to help support your baby’s speech and language development?

Based on the Five to Thrive approach, this 1½hr Baby Talk workshop will help you to discover the importance of talking to your baby from birth and the practical ways you can help develop their speech and language.

This session is face-to-face. Tickets are free and spaces are limited. Please let us know if you are unable to attend, so the space can be used for others.

Who is this session for?

Parents and carers for babies 9-24 months old (you are welcome to bring them along!)

What does this session cover?

  • How your baby communicates
  • The importance of sounds and gestures
  • Developing attention and listening skills
  • The value of practical activities (such as singing songs, messy play)
  • Sharing ideas on rhymes, games and other ways to learn through play.


N.B. This session is open to all parents and carers of babies and children registered with a Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, Health Visiting team.
