Baby Loss Awareness Week is an opportunity to bring families together as a community and give anyone touched by pregnancy and baby loss a safe and supportive space to share their experiences and feel that they are not alone.Every year, the Week commencing the 9th October till 15th October gives families a chance for their baby to be recognised. Unfortunately, around 8 babies per day are born sleeping, which is 2920 per year.
This year, to mark baby loss awareness week, we are meeting at Bexleyheath Memorial (outside the bowling alley) at 5pm to start the walk, along with your candle/lanton, we then will be walking as a group, stopping along the way untill we get to bexleyheath clock tower, where we will place a coloured ribbon with your baby(s) name on it if you wish and tie it onto the railing. After we have had our reflection, everyone is welcome to the Kings arm pub for tea and coffee if you wish.
We need to talk about pregnancy and baby loss and help ensure that every bereaved family gets the support they need.
