About this Event
This is your chance to learn essential baby first aid skills in a hands-on, interactive in-person course! Join us in Lane Cove, Sydney and gain the knowledge and confidence to handle emergency situations involving infants and children.
Our experienced instructors are current paramedics and mums of a toddler and baby each.
Topics include:
- DRSABCD
- CPR (infant and child)
- Choking
- Drowning
- Respiratory Distress
- Bleeding
- Burns
- Febrile convulsions and fever management
- Accidental poisoning
- Falls/head injuries
- Bites and stings
- How to recognise when your child is seriously unwell
- What happens when you call an ambulance
and more!
This course is perfect for expectant parents, grandparents, parents to younger children, ANYONE who you trust to look after your baby or child!
There will also be opportunity to practice skills such as choking first aid and CPR, with demonstrations and live feedback to ensure you are getting the most out of the session.
Emily and Matilda will host a Q&A at the end of the session, however you are more than welcome to ask questions throughout the course!
Babies and breastfeeding are welcome!
