This course is suitable for all wildlife rehabilitators and vet clinics looking to learn more about the identification, developmental stages, feeding, rehabilitation and release of the baby bird species seen in Perth WA. Learn how to liaise with the public and when human intervention is required.Topics:

• Stages of development
• Atricial vs. precocial species
• Identification of different species
• Setting up the enclosure (nests, hides, perches, bowls and browse)
• Feeding plans for each species
• Imprinting, weaning, pre-release and release
• How to care for eggs
This course is of particular relevance to Kanyana and other wildlife volunteers who wish to enhance their knowledge, as well as vet nurses who frequently need to speak to the public about baby birds during breeding season.
