About this Event
Aziz Ibrahim - guitar geek, composer, producer and sometimes vocalist - known for his world-class guitar performances (Stone Roses, Simply Red, Ian Brown) and innovative use of digital technologies, will deliver an immersive audio-visual experience that explores and celebrates South Asian heritage. This concert is a key component of the "Sound of Heritage" project, which aims to break down barriers, amplify underrepresented voices, and redefine the boundaries of museum engagement.
Sound of Heritage Project: "Sound of Heritage" is an ambitious initiative led by Aziz Ibrahim, designed to resonate with diverse communities by reinterpreting the South Asian Collection. Over the next 12 months, Aziz will collaborate with museums, educational partners, and multidisciplinary artists to develop and share digital exhibits, music, digital media, and performance installations. The project seeks to engage Muslim, Pakistani, South Asian diaspora, BME, and underrepresented working-class groups, fostering a deeper connection with their cultural heritage.
