Azalea Fest Sailing Days 2025

It's Azalea Fest week. Please join us as we plan on being downtown Wilmington taking veterans and first responders sailing on the Cape Fear River. We will have free tickets available for multiple times and days.

Things you need to know before sailing:

• All participants must fill out our Participation Registration. If you have sailed with us in the past, then you are already registered.
• This sailing event is for veterans and first responders. Spouses and accompanied children are welcome if space is available. Call Josh with any questions at 910-547-6285
• Wear closed-toe athletic or boat shoes
• Bring sunblock, sunglasses and a hat.
• You may bring a small bag for personal items onboard.
• Alcohol and tobacco are prohibited on the boat.
• We will provide water and snacks. You may bring your own snacks and water bottle if you like.
• The boat does not have a restroom. Please go beforehand.
• Have fun and enjoy!

Where do we meet?

• On the public docks in downtown Wilmington near the court house
• Look for the grey and red trimaran with Freedom Sailing logos.
• Location may vary depending on available dockage.

Please Note:

• Parking may be limited due to the Azalea Festival. Please plan accordingly so that you arrive at the boat 15 minutes before your ticketed time.
• Since space is limited on the boat, please register only if you are going to attend.
• Sailing times can change depending on weather and other circumstances.
