AZ AEE Luncheon
Date: Tuesday, November 18th
Time: 12:00pm-1:30pm
Location: 2141 E Broadway Rd. Ste 102 Tempe, AZ 85282
Highlights of the Presentation:
Owners, investors, property managers, and tenants of commercial real estate increasingly express concern about the performance of buildings in which they are involved. The US EPA Energy Star "Portfolio Manager" is a market-leading benchmarking system for building performance. Many building owners in Arizona have already initiated an Energy Star review for their buildings by compiling utility data, occupancy, space types, number of personal computers, and other information about the building and entering that data into the Energy Star program to obtain a preliminary report on building energy performance.
Energy Star Portfolio Manager will grade the customers with scores ranging between 1 to 100, with a score of 1 representing the lowest energy-performing building and 100 being the highest-performing building – the higher the Energy Star Portfolio Manager score, the better the energy performance.
Based on the results of Portfolio Manager, utility customers can develop an Energy Plan for their building portfolio. In addition, they will be able to pursue Certification for the highest-scored buildings - the top quartile of all similar buildings of the same use type in the country.
