This January we are screening the 1965 epic historical film Doctor Zhivago. Directed by David Lean with a screenplay by Robert Bolt, the film is based on the 1957 novel by Boris Pasternak. Set in Russia during World War I and the Russian Civil War, Doctor Zhivago stars Omar Sharif in the title role of Yuri Zhivago a married physician and poet who falls in love with a political activist’s wife Lara Antipova, played by Julie Christie.
Also stars Geraldine Chaplin, Tom Courtenay, Rod Steiger, Alec Guinness, Ralph Richardson, Siobhán McKenna, and Rita Tushingham.
2pm - 5:30pm in the Bradshaw Meeting Room above the Axminster Heritage Centre.
Tickets £7.00 per person can be purchased in advance or on the door. Includes tea or coffee and two 10-minute intervals.
