Who are we?
The Capoeira Spot is a community-based nonprofit that promotes the Afro-Brazilian martial art of capoeira in Washington, DC. Capoeira was created by African warriors enslaved in Brazil and used to fight for their freedom. Today, we continue to practice and teach this liberating art.
