Luckyfoot Martial Arts invites your teen to AWARE - Teen's Self-Defense!
This two-hour class is designed to help teens ages 12 through 17 discover their voices, stand up to peer pressure, and navigate situations in which self-defense may be the safest option. This class will boost your teen's confidence and support them in taking steps towards building a healthy foundation for their future with crucial life and interpersonal skills.
Participants will learn how to maintain awareness in their environment and social interactions, self-advocacy, and introductory physical safety techniques.
OPEN TO NON-MEMBERS! Bring friends, siblings, neighbors - this event is designed for any teen 12-17yo.
Class details:
Topics covered include: peer pressure, reporting to trusted individuals, importance of open communication with parents and trusted individuals, boundaries in relationships with friends, teammates, teachers, and coaches.
Self-defense techniques taught in this class include: setting verbal boundaries, protecting personal space, grab releases, and choke releases.
