Awa Dance Saturday on the Gold Coast

Awa Odori is the festival dance of Tokushima, featuring teams of dancers and musicians in the largest summer festival of traditional dance in Japan.
At Awa Dance Saturdays, you can come to dance or play in the band, with no dancing or musical experience required.
Awa Odori is very much a participation sport. In Tokushima we say, “There are dancing fools, and there are watching fools, they’re fools just the same, so you might as well dance!” So come along and get involved!
Every session of Awa Dance Saturdays will include a warmup and lesson in the basics, instruction on technique and choreography as we go, and lots of fun!
Yattosa! Yatto yatto!
