About this Event

AVIRT – Active Violence Immediate Response Training - teaches you to recognize the signs of danger, react appropriately, and make rapid survival decisions. AVERT goes beyond standard active shooter response training by also teaching how to control life-threatening bleeding such as knife and gunshot wounds that may result from an active threat. After an AVIRT training session, you and your team will be able to: recognize warning signs using situational awareness, decide whether to escape, evade and/or attack, apply critical bleeding control techniques such as wound packing and tourniquet application, respond quickly and confidently in an emergency, develop an Emergency Action Plan (EAP), and much more!
