¡Este verano te invitamos a vivir una experiencia única al aire libre con Vive NW!
En colaboración con Johnson Creek Watershed Council, el sábado 20 de septiembre, exploraremos dos joyas naturales a orillas del río Willamette: Elk Rock Island y Milwaukie Bay Park. Será un día para disfrutar, relajarte y reconectar contigo mismo, con tu comunidad y con la naturaleza.
Nuestra aventura comenzará con un paseo en balsa por Elk Rock Island. Este espacio natural ofrece paisajes espectaculares, formaciones rocosas únicas y una gran diversidad de flora y fauna local. Será la oportunidad perfecta para disfrutar de vistas impresionantes del río, y hablar sobre la diversidad de peces que tienen su hábitat aquí y la importancia de su preservación.
También disfrutaremos de las tranquilas aguas de Milwaukie Bay Park, vivirás la emoción de remar mientras contemplas la belleza de la naturaleza.
Para cerrar con broche de oro, nos reuniremos en un parque para disfrutar de un picnic frente al río. Será un momento para relajarnos, compartir con nuevas amistades, y disfrutar del aire fresco. ¡Si gustas, trae algo delicioso para compartir!
Este evento está diseñado para todas las edades y no necesitas experiencia previa. Lo más importante es traer tu espíritu aventurero y tus ganas de disfrutar un día inolvidable.

Activity Description:
This summer, we invite you to enjoy a unique outdoor experience with Vive NW!
In collaboration with Johnson Creek Watershed Council, on Saturday, September 20th, we’ll explore two natural gems along the Willamette River: Elk Rock Island and Milwaukie Bay Park. It will be a day to enjoy, relax, and reconnect with yourself, your community, and nature.
Our adventure will begin with a rafting trip around Elk Rock Island. This natural area offers breathtaking scenery, unique rock formations, and a wide variety of local plants and wildlife. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy stunning river views, learn about the diverse fish species that call this area home, and reflect on the importance of their preservation.
We’ll also explore the calm waters of Milwaukie Bay Park, where you’ll experience the thrill of paddling while taking in the beauty of nature all around you.
To wrap up the day, we’ll gather for a picnic by the river, a chance to relax, connect with new friends, and enjoy the fresh air. Feel free to bring something tasty to share!
This event is designed for all ages and no experience is required. The most important thing to bring is your adventurous spirit and the desire to enjoy an unforgettable day.
