THE MUSIC OF BRUCKNER, HOLST AND STANFORD
This concert marks three important Romantic/post Romantic era composer anniversaries in 2024: the bicentenary of Anton Bruckner (born 4 September 1824), the 150th anniversary of Gustav Holst (born 21 September 1874), and the centenary of the death of Holst’s teacher, the Irish composer, Charles Villiers Stanford (died 29 March 1924). Their glorious choral works will reverberate magnificently around the sumptuous acoustics of our venues in Belfast and Newcastle; a rich, musical, sonic spectacle not to be missed.
