What is a dinosaur tournament? This is a super fun event and throw-back to the early days when the court was bigger, there were no antennae, and games were to 15 using side out scoring. Games could last for over an hour if the serving team couldn't score and there would be amazing come-backs, making games extremely exciting! If you've played this before, you know how fun it is. And if you haven't, you're in for a treat.
Who: Anyone who can put together a team with the required combined age
DIVISIONS:
-Men (over 80)
-Women (over 70)
-Co-ed (over 80)
Age Requirements:
- Men teams must have a combined total of 80 years or more.
- Women teams have a combined total of 70 years or more
What: Old school tournament with old school rules, big court, no antennae.
Format: Pool play with double elimination event
Scoring: All games are one game to 15, with "side-out" scoring (may go to 11 in losers bracket)
Where: Alki Beach
When: Check in at 8:00-8:30. Play starts at 9:00am.
