Please share this event and invite others! Join KU faculty, staff and students for the annual fall tour of the KU Native Medicinal Plant Research Garden. Kelly Kindscher, senior scientist at the Kansas Biological Survey & Center for Ecological Research and a professor in the KU Environmental Studies Program, will give an overview of the research gardens and highlight important species. We will explore the garden and see the work of the Douglas County Extension Master Gardeners, who partner with our research center to manage the garden, as well as students and faculty who run the KU Community Garden, and the KU Bee Club. Wear comfortable shoes, and bring a water bottle, plus a lawn chair if you'd like to watch the sunset about 7:15 p.m. The garden, which is part of the KU Field Station, is open every day, dawn to dusk. It is next to Prairie Moon Waldorf School just north of Highway 24/40.
