The Lyceum of Auset Hauhet, FOI presents its Autumnal Equinox ritual on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 5 PM led by FOI Hierophant and pagan author Denise Dumars. Please arrive no later than 4:45 PM; we cannot accommodate latecomers. This will be a ritual featuring Greek deities and the story of Persephone and Demeter and its place in the Rites of Eleusis, featuring FOI liturgy and the scholarship of authors like Jennifer Reif and Tony Mierzwicki.. Our themes are the coming of the harvest, gratitude, and hope. Participants who have NOT been given a specific role (YOU WILL GET AN EMAIL IF YOU HAVE ONE) should dress in ritual wear or something comfortable as it will be warm. Black, burgundy, blue, or white are appropriate colors. Again, this is a ritual based on Greek deities and practices. We will have it in our indoor/outdoor temple on the west side of the property. This is a thoughtful ritual that will concentrate magickal energy toward a positive outcome in the fall. We are a completely inclusive group but this ritual is not for small children. Please bring food to share (we do not need drinks) and plan to donate $5 if you are able to do so. Food should be in keeping with the harvest theme. No one turned away for lack of funds. To RSVP to get street address (private residence) email [email protected] or call (310) 963-5101 no later than Sept. 20th.
