Autumn Wreath Making Workshop

Join us for an Autumn Wreath Making Workshop, designed to bring people together through the art of crafting, while promoting sustainability and creativity.

Using eco-friendly materials such as twigs, leaves, pinecones, and other seasonal elements, we will conversate about ancient foraging practices, sustainable activity and the nature of the materials used while making the wreaths.

This is a drop-in style workshop, so participants can come and go as they please. We ask that you register your interest by pre-booking.

Participants can expect to:

● Learn to design and assemble your own unique autumn wreath using a variety of natural materials. The instructor, Rachael Kelly, will guide you through each step, ensuring that your creation is both beautiful and personalised.

● Learn about the different native materials to Dublin, as well as discuss the importance of sustainability and how to repurpose and reuse natural resources.

● Engage in an opportunity to meet your neighbours, share ideas, and engage in a hands-on activity. Whether you’re an experienced crafter or a complete beginner, this workshop is open to all skill levels and ages.

This workshop is part of FSAS Neighbourhood Project initiative.

Rachael Kelly Ryder is an artist and curator based between Dublin and Glasgow. Her work is centred on networked cultures, oral histories, experiemtnal documentaries and class-related creative praxis. Her practice is socially engaged and multi-disciplinary, spanning lens-based media, participatory initiatives, painting, printing and sculpture.
