Join us in our tranquil private woodlands tucked away in Rushcliffe Country Park for a deep dive into our sensory experience of nature in autumn time.
This will be a 2.5 hour long event, giving us plenty of time to truly immerse ourselves in the woodlands. You will be guided through invitations to connect to your senses, in order to strengthen your connection to yourself and to the rest of the natural world all around us.
We will finish we a cup nourishing, freshly foraged autumn tea.
Autumn is a season full of sensory charm - from the magical displays of golden leaves, to the wonderful aroma of the soil full of mushrooms and fallen leaves, the woodlands truly come alive this time of year. Before the chill of winter creeps in, it is the perfect time to slow down, tune in and embrace the natural world as it heads into hibernation.
What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing, or ‘shinrin yoku’ in Japanese, is the wonderfully restorative, mindfulness-based practice of immersing oneself in the forest, woodland or any green space. Whether you practise alone, or guided by a trained facilitator as this session will be, you will gently use your senses to connect to the natural world around you. Many studies have shown forest bathing to have a profoundly positive impact on our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. When practised in a group, it can also provide a lovely, easeful way to not only connect to nature and to ourselves, but to the other people around us.
