At the end of our beginner's courses, we like to celebrate the completion of the course with a ‘Fechtschule’. A friendly night where we open our doors to give the latest group a chance to test their skills with current members and visitors from other clubs. The format of this Fechtschule is such: Participants start with a set number of tokens. A match must include two fencers and a judge. Each fencer wagers 2 tokens for a match, the winner takes 3 and the judge keeps 1. Participants can decide whether to fence with foams or steel - appropriate PPE is required.
In the event of an economic collapse additional tokens can be dispensed. It has happened before, and it will happen again.
