Join us on the Autumn Equinox, September 21, 2024, for a powerful Kundalini Yoga & Sound Healing ceremony in honor of the equinox, a time when day and night meet in perfect balance. This special event will harness the celestial energy of the equinox, guiding you to find equilibrium within yourself. Together, we'll explore the profound connection between the outer and inner worlds, creating harmony and balance in our bodies, minds, and spirits. Come and align with the natural rhythms of the Earth as we transition into the next season! The Kundalini Yoga practice offered is one of balancing and purifying the energies of body, mind, and spirit through a series of movements (asana), breathing patterns (pranayama), chants (naad), and hand positions (mudras) which will channel energy through each of the bodies chakras facilitating opening and expanded energy flow. This kriya will be suitable for practitioners of all experience levels. Whether you're new to yoga, or on your way to mastery, this practice will facilitate healing and balance.
Sound is a potent and powerful form of medicine utilized in ancient practices across various cultures for thousands of years in healing and ceremonial rituals. As vibratory beings, the use of sound as a healing modality has the potential to help realign one's vibration back to a state of natural harmony. By incorporating the intentional use of sound, one can reach deeper states of relaxation, creating a space for energetic shifts and healing to occur. To facilitate this transformative experience, Amanda works with a variety of instruments some of which include Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, crystal singing bowls, drums and planetary chimes.
Michael & Amanda will be bringing these two transformational practices together to offer an experience that will support and elevate each individual, and the community at large!
Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to set up and settle in. It is recommended to bring a water bottle, a journal, and a pen for integrating the experience.
Meet your facilitators:
Michael Bowling is a dedicated practitioner and teacher of yoga, and ancestral healing arts, specializing in holding space for personal healing and transformation. He is a 200 HR KRI certified teacher of Kundalini Yoga, 200 HR CYA certified teacher of Vinyasa Yoga, and has received the highest degrees of certification in Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, Lightwave, and Melchizedek Method energy healing techniques. Michael is a lifelong learner, having graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Divinity, and more recently graduated as a Certified Executive Coach. He is currently working towards completion of a Master of Divinity in 2024, with plans to continue working towards a Ph.D. in Holistic Life Coaching.
Amanda Robertson is a RYT500 and a Practitioner of Sacred Sound. From her own life experiences she has been profoundly moved and inspired by the transformative power of sound healing and yoga. Through her extensive training and mentorships in yoga and sound therapy, and her recent exploration of the foundations of traditional Chinese medicine and astrology, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her teachings. Amanda creates a warm and inviting space for her students to relax and connect with-in, guiding them on a journey of self-discovery, healing and personal empowerment. Her passion for wellness shines through in her teachings, as she aims to support and uplift others on their path to holistic well-being.
