To mark the Autumnal Equinox, we give thanks to Mother Earth for her bounty and begin to prepare for the coming winter months. It's a time of balance between the light and dark as we leave behind the heady days of this hot summer and think about what we are personally harvesting in our own lives. It's a time for celebration and sharing, sending love and light to those in need. The Autumn Equinox is also known as Mabon and marks the midpoint between the Gaelic festivals of Lughnasadh and Samhain.
We will offer a simple vegan meal made from the lovely organic food we grow here on the farm. You are welcome to bring something to share as well but if you have a busy life there is no need to. There is no charge for this shared celebration, but small donations to support our work as a not for profit are welcome.
The event will be held outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather. If it's not raining we will meet on the camping field (where we held the most recent Lughnasadh and Summer Solstice celebrations). If it's rainy we will be under cover in the Market Barn. Children are warmly welcome, along with well behaved dogs.
Please email [email protected] if you plan to attend so that we have an idea of numbers :)
Please gather in the Market Barn from 6.30pm!
