We're excited to let you know that plans are now in place for our 7th community litterpick of 2024, and we have some extra elements to it this month. There will be prizes! - including for the best costume/accessories made out of recycling materials - hopefully something that you can wear while you are litterpicking, like the people on our poster!
You can also bring along 'small electricals' that you no longer need. By this we mean SPECIFICALLY mobile phones, laptops, tablets, cameras, MP3 players, portable CD players, cassette players and associated cables ie NOT kettles, toasters etc. These will be recycled by Oxfam, with the money going to help those in our world most affected by poverty.
And we have visitors! There will be stalls from SEPA ( Scottish Environmental Protection Agency) and Public Health, each with a reprentative to answer your questions and concerns, and advise us on action that can be taken about fly tipping, inappropriate waste disposal etc.
Lunch will again be provided, funded by our cans and bottle collections via the machine in Lidl.
Do come along if you can. Whether you've joined us before or not, it will be wonderful to have you along and to get to meet you after all the hard work is done.
NB: Under 16s to be accompanied by an adult
