Camping at CHAPs (Collingham Horse Adventure Park) near Newark, Notts.
This camp is based on a fun, friendly, confidence building weekend camping away with your horse. Everything is aimed at being calm, laid back with no pressure, in a group of like-minded people.

Arrivals from Friday afternoon 5pm-7pm to settle in and set up for the weekend (anyone hiring a cabin can arrive earlier for check-in but I will not be there). Welcome to go for an evening hack if you wish.
Sessions are usually around 3 hours riding/with the horses each day plus a talk/demo/theory of some kind.

Training sessions will include full use of the adventure course both days in-hand and ridden as well as other group sessions such as trick training, groundwork, liberty, groundwork to riding exercises, drill riding/games and some of my more difficult mobile obstacles/balance sessions.
Exact sessions and full itinerary will be sent out in a welcome pack nearer the date.
Sessions are a mixture of in-hand and/or ridden.
Horses will be paddocked overnight, please bring your own electric fencing kit to made your paddock.
Camps will be limited to up to roughly 14 people and groups of around 4 horses per group (up to 3 similar ethos instructors per camp depending on camp numbers).
£285pp
£100 deposit needed to book.
Entirely self catering and everything to be provided by yourselves for the duration of the weekend.
There now toilets/shower block in the camp site.
There are also now 8 electric hook ups available to hire (£12 per night).
If any helpers or additional people are attending/staying with you, it is £10pp per day.
Extra vehicles also - £10pp per day.
Riders over the age of 16 unless with a guardian for the duration.
Non refundable booking once booked, unless space can be refilled, minus £5 admin fee.

Companion horses by prior agreement only - £30 per horse for duration (if agreed) and must be happy being left by themselves whilst the other is worked and share the same small paddock as other horse as restricted space. Happy if you also wanted to alternate which horse you use per session if you have 2 horses, but again, by prior agreement only and those additional charges apply.
It is outdoors all weekend so bring suitable clothing - a gazebo or awning is recommended.
In the event of adverse weather sessions may be subject to change due to safety.

Example of what a weekend may look like:
Friday night - Arrivals from 5pm
Saturday - Arena/roundpen session (groundwork, ridden or trick training), groundwork on CHAPS course, revisit CHAPS course to progress further/or do some ridden, evening talk/demo (subject varies each camp).
Sunday - Arena/roundpen sessions (ridden, liberty or trick training depending on booking preferences) and another session on the CHAPS course. Optional drill ride & games.
Finish by 5pm Sunday
