Come and join members of the Lekker Social Club and South Africans Living in Sydney for a braai in the Lane Cove National Park. We have secured an area with a capacity of 100 people – so spaces are limited!
Bring your braai, your meat and drinks, and come have a jol with the other Saffas living in Sydney.

Saturday, 10 May 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Carter Creek Picnic Area, Lane Cove National Park
Tickets:
$5 per person. Children under 5 are free. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.trybooking.com/DAFYW
Important Information:
• Picnic area with a capacity for up to 100 people.
• One covered table (seats 8), one open table (seats 16), and a gas barbeque available. Please bring picnic blankets and camping chairs.
• Bring your own gas or heat bead barbeques and drinks (alcohol permitted).
• Please provide your own plates, cutlery and braai utensils.
• Ample parking for 20 vehicles, plus water taps, bins, and toilets on-site. Park entry fees apply
Safety & Guidelines:
• Children must be supervised at all times due to nearby waterways and wildlife.
• Only portable gas, heat bead, or NPWS-provided electric barbeques are allowed.
• If a total fire ban or park fire ban is declared, only NPWS-provided gas/electric barbeques can be used.
How to Get There:
• From Sydney: Take the Pacific Highway to Chatswood and turn left into Fullers Road:
o Turn right into Lady Game Drive just before crossing the bridge.
o Take the first left into Max Allen Drive for the northern side of the river, or
o Cross Fullers Bridge and then turn right into Riverside Drive. This will take you to the southern side of the river.
• From Ryde: Take Lane Cove Road and turn right into Riverside Drive, just past Eden Gardens.
