Join naturalist Ed Drewitt at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve for a Autumn Bird ID courseAs the leaves begin to change colour, the woodland and waterbirds also begin to change. Ducks finish their moult and begin to gather in larger numbers while woodland birds form roving mixed flocks. It is also a time when summer birds, such as swallows and chiffchaffs, may be crossing over with winter visitors such as redwings. This course is the ideal opportunity for you to learn how to identify by sight (and sound) the many species that will be living across the pools and woodland from teal to lapwings and tree creepers to Cettis' warblers. We may even catch a glimpse of a kingfisher if we're lucky.
This course is a mixture of indoor and outdoor learning so please dress appropriately for the weather. This course is suitable for absolute beginners and those wishing to brush up on their skills. Suitable for adults and children aged 15+, with a supervising paying adult.
Refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch or book your lunch with the cafe on your arrival before the course starts. Tel: 024 7630 2912
