Have You Ever Wanted to Try Archery?Join our beginner’s archery course and take the first step into the exciting world of archery! Led by qualified coaches, this course will teach you the essential skills you need to get started, including:
• Assembling your bow
• Understanding range safety
• Mastering shooting techniques
• Scoring your shots accurately
With the guidance of our friendly and experienced coaches, you’ll gain all the knowledge and tools needed to enjoy archery from the very first session.
Course Details:
• Duration: 4 weeks, Saturday 09:00 – 12:30
• Session Dates:
o Session 1 – 25th October
o Session 2 – 1st November
o Session 3 – 8th November
o Session 4 – 15th November
The course requires 12 hours of tuition. If you cannot attend all sessions, let us know, and we may be able to arrange a catch-up session.
Accessibility: Archery is a wonderfully adaptable sport suitable for people of all abilities. Our facilities are wheelchair-friendly, and if you have any concerns, please reach out.
Age Requirements:
• Minimum age: 8 years old
• There’s no maximum age limit, as long as you’re able to draw the bow
• Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who may also take part in the course
Cost: £80 for the entire course
All tuition and equipment provided.
Once you’ve completed the course, you’ll be eligible to join any Archery GB club across the UK. While we’d love for you to join us at Derwent Bowmen, there’s no obligation.
