Using local Gravensteins and several other popular apple varieties, you will recreate the magic of the aromatic apple cider donut in multiple formats and bake both comforting and impressive apple desserts. Learn about the main types of apples used for baking, how to fry donuts on the stove top, and get practice using store–bought puff pastry to create a stunning French caramelized apple tart. We also share tips and variations on how to make everyone’s fall favorite, apple crisp, in this hands–on class.
