Autism: Understanding how characteristics drive behaviour
proudly presented in partnership with the Parry Sound Public Library
Despite increased awareness and understanding of autism, many myths and misconceptions persist. Addressing these misconceptions is crucial for promoting acceptance and inclusion of individuals on the spectrum.
By understanding characteristics and how each might impact behaviour, we can re-evaluate our understanding and reflect on our expectations.
Autism is not a limitation but a different way of experiencing and interacting with the world. By embracing uniqueness and supporting individuals on the spectrum, we enrich our communities and open ourselves to new ways of thinking and being.
