On Friday 28 July we're offering some family friendly canoeing sessions. So why not come and learn to canoe with our team of professionally qualified instructors! These sessions accessible for autistic, neurodiverse and people with learning disabilities. The sessions are available throughout the day and are booked on a time slot basis - each an hour long.
All the equipment is provided, so all you need to do is book in on this free session and turn up on the day. These canoeing sessions will be part of the Waterfront Festival, especially designed to be accessible for autistic, neurodiverse and people with learning disabilities. As well as canoeing there will be time travelling drama walks, arts & crafts and much more!
Book now- There will be 40 spaces to book for walk ins across the day at the same times as the pre-bookable slots. Sign up at the Canal & River Trust Gazebo.
Please book one time slot per person. Please arrive around 15 minutes before your booked slot - to ensure the instructor can run through a safety talk and get you kitted up. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from aged 7 years old upwards who are interested in trying out a potential new hobby.
Parents and Guardians (for those under 18) are required to remain on site during the activity.
*There will be spaces for walk ins. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another person(s) a chance to take part. Social distancing measures will be in place and all equipment will be cleaned in between sessions.

Location- Please meet at Armouries Square, Leeds Dock (What Three Words ///drive.clock.tanks) just outside of the entrance to the Royal Armouries Museum
Bus: 168 bus route will take you to bus stops nearby
Train: Leeds Train Train station is approximately a 20 minute walk from Leeds Dock
Water Taxi: You can take the water taxi from Leeds Train Station to Leeds Dock
