Kellie is the author of “Cease Firing! Life and Death at the Swope Manor”. In the summer of 1863, in the small town of Gettysburg, PA, two armies converged upon one another and engaged in a desperate struggle for three days. The Swope Manor was a prominent family abode in downtown Gettysburg, virtually untouched as Union troops were driven out of the town by the approaching Confederates. Only one soldier actually died in the Swope Manor. Author Kellie Gormly tells us about the Swope family and the soldier who has ties to ARC.Her book will be available for purchase and signing after the lecture.
