Drawing inspiration from the history of the humble apple, this heartwrenching tale follows botanical artist Jane Saville. Banished by her manipulative mother to safeguard another’s honour, Jane leads a secretive and impoverished existence beneath the majestic medieval spire of Salisbury Cathedral. Meanwhile, Guy Attwood, a friend of the new King and heir to a fortune, becomes obsessed with locating a lost apple from the middle centuries, rumoured to be found in Wiltshire. As their paths intertwine, a relationship blooms, but secrets and jealousy, pride and duty collide to test the false life Jane has carefully built.
Fiona McIntosh co-founded an award-winning travel magazine with her husband, which they ran for fifteen years while raising their twin sons before she became a full-time author. Fiona roams the world researching and drawing inspiration for her novels and runs a series of highly respected fiction masterclasses. She calls South Australia home.
