Dr. Craig Steven Wilder, the Barton L. Weller Professor of History at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an Organization of American Historians Distinguished Lecturer, will offer a compelling virtual presentation based on his critically acclaimed book, Ebony & Ivy: Race, Slavery, and the Troubled History of America's Universities. In this revealing talk, Dr. Wilder will share his unique perspective on the historical connections between race, slavery, and higher education in the United States. The presentation will be followed by an engaging Q&A session. The event will be moderated by Veronica Buckler, an English and History teacher at CSA New Tech High School, and will be available in both virtual and in-person formats.
