About the book:
My Stroke in the Fast Lane: A Journey to Recovery begins on an Easter Sunday when Bonni suffers a stroke while driving on the interstate, crashing into a guardrail with her 86-year-old mother at the wheel. Left unable to walk, talk, or swallow, Bonni faces an uphill battle—just weeks before her son’s wedding on Martha’s Vineyard. This moving memoir chronicles her remarkable recovery with tenacity, humor, and resilience, offering an inspiring story of hope and determination.
About Bonni Brodnick:
Bonni Brodnick is the author of My Stroke in the Fast Lane: A Journey to Recovery and Pound Ridge Past: Remembrances of Our Townsfolk, now in its second edition. For many years, she was the Record-Review's "Talk of the Town" columnist for Pound Ridge. Formerly with Condé Nast Publication's Glamour and House& Garden magazines, Bonni has written scripts for Children's Television Workshop and was editor of two academic magazines. She is an award-winning communications specialist, a Pound Ridge Authors Society member, and a blogger at . In addition, Bonni is an ambassador for the American Heart Association and a proud Stroke Survivor.
About Stephanie Susjnara:
Based in South Salem, Stephanie is a longtime writer/editor whose background spans film, creative nonfiction, journalism, and digital content. Currently, she writes about IT infrastructure and cloud computing for IBM. She’s also a proud mom of two adult children and a passionate live music fan.
