About the Author
Dr. Beth Funk is a lifelong educator, mindfulness advocate, and passionate believer in the power of love and joy.
With a doctorate in educational leadership and decades of experience as a professional educator, Beth has
dedicated her career to helping others live fully and mindfully. She is also a proud military spouse of a U.S. Army
veteran, a mother, and a grandmother.
Beth’s deep commitment to mindfulness practices stems from her belief that when we learn to embrace these
practices, we develop self-regulation skills, a strong sense of self-worth, and an appreciation for the world around
us. She believes joy is not something that comes from outside us, but is an innate, powerful force that we can
nurture within. When we live joyfully, we spark that same joy in others—creating a ripple effect that can change
the world.
In addition to her writing, Beth is a yoga and mindfulness teacher, and the proud owner of a yoga studio, holistic
health campus, and wellness training academy. She is inspired by the natural world, which she believes plays a vital
role in healing and personal growth. Through her books, workshops, and teachings, Beth is dedicated to helping
others connect with the present moment and experience the transformative power of mindfulness.
Special Instructions
This is a book signing event from 11am – 1pm. To attend this event, a copy of "Mindful Leigh" must be purchased at the Barnes & Noble Harker Heights store. If you purchase your book ahead of time, be sure to save the receipt, as the book AND receipt will be required prior to it being signed by the author.
