This event is open to participants of all ages.

Proceeds from sales at Indy Reads support our English literacy programming for more than 400 adult learners each year.

While I'm at School... What Do My Parents Do All Day?

A delightful rhyming read-aloud about a young boy who wonders what his parents do all day while he is away at school. His imagination runs wild as he envisions his parents doing all kinds of wacky things. The captivating fun, energetic illustrations tell the imaginative tale! Adults and children alike will love reading this book aloud together over and over! A perfect way to help prepare a child for starting a new school year or for the classroom teacher to read to the class on the first day of school!

McKenna Houston is a children’s book author who has loved books for as long as she can remember. She has lovingly kept her childhood favorite books, hoping to be able to pass them down one day to some special little one. With a passion for reading, writing and connecting with others, McKenna wants everyone to experience the same magic and wonder she feels when reading a great story. McKenna currently lives in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana and is an alumna of the Orr Fellowship and Florida Gulf Coast University.

FREE – This ticket is for attendees that would like to attend this event and are unable to purchase a ticket. Indy Reads values our community and facilitators. We are proud to provide programming to all. Thank you for being a part of our community!

If you are attending as an individual, your ticket at this level makes it possible for another who cannot afford a ticket to attend.
