Author-preneurship: Writer's Meet Up

The J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute is thrilled to collaborate with Eboniè P. Fields to bring you the June Author-preneurship: Writer's Meet Up! Join us for a dedicated hour of writing, coupled with an inspiring business discussion featuring a local creative.

Eboniè P. Fields is a poet, writer, and children’s book author of the adventurous tales of Zenie and the Magical Hummingbirds, Zoey and the Magical Hummingbirds, and Lenny and Leila and the Magical Hummingbirds. In December of 2021, her first two children’s books received an honorable mention from the Royal Dragonfly Book Awards. Fields’ most recent 2022 publication, Lenny and Leila and the Magical Hummingbirds, and Zoey and the Magical Hummingbirds, have both received a Five-Star Review from Readers’ Favorite. Zoey and the Magical Hummingbirds has been recognized as a Silver Award Recipient by the Mom’s Choice Awards and Book Excellence Awards. Fields enjoys using her writing talents to create exciting and vivid stories for children of all ages to read. She has the creative talents to descriptively allow your imagination to put you inside the story, taking you on an incredible journey with her charismatic characters.

In September of 2020, Fields founded Ebby’s Book House LLC. Ebby’s Book House LLC is a for-profit organization that provides writing coaching and a collection of books written by her. At Ebby’s Book House LLC, Fields coaches, inspires, and motivates people of all ages to become creative writers.

Fields is active in the community, working with local non-profit organizations, promoting literacy and education. She is strongly passionate about encouraging children of all backgrounds to see the joys of reading and writing. In 2021, Fields was awarded the Women Educator Champion- Impact Award from the Women in Business Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce. She is Lead for the Equity & Inclusion Committee for the Arizona Society of Children Book Writers and Illustrators and serves on the Chandler Unified School District Reimaging Committee for Conley Elementary.
