About this Event
Join us to hear local author Martha Bireda discuss her memoir, Reflections of a Colored Girl: A Journey of Resilience and Triumph. This book narrates her personal life story and also serves as a beacon of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. Transcending the boundaries of a traditional memoir, it offers readers a deep, historical context wrapped around the lived experiences of a woman who has been called by many names: colored, negro, Black, African American, and person of color. Dr. Bireda, with her profound wisdom, brings forth a story that echoes the essence of survival, excellence, and unyielding courage.
