The Shamrock Club meeting will be followed by an author presentation. "What the Tide Leaves Behind" is a heartwarming tale of friendship, community and the healing power of a dog set in beautiful, rugged and remote Donegal. Reviewers call It a love letter to County Donegal and the next best thing to a trip home! Author Malcolm McDowell Woods' “What the Tide Leaves Behind” is a sweet tale of personal growth, the authentic charm of small communities and the enduring bond between man and dog. The novel explores themes of community, connection, and the transformative power of unexpected companionship.
Author Malcolm McDowell Woods currently lives in Milwaukee but is originally from Derry. He will be appearing in the Literary Tent at this year’s Milwaukee Irish Fest to talk about and sell copies of the book. In addition, the city of Wauwatosa has just selected the novel for this coming year’s Tosa All-City Read program (it is a great choice for book clubs). The book is available for ordering worldwide in print and ebook versions wherever you buy your books - Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Waterstones or ask your local Indie bookstore to order a copy for you! Malcolm will have copies to sign and sell at the meeting.
