Meet the Author: Joel Burcat at Schlow Library! ✍️The Nittany Valley Writers Network is proud to welcome award-winning novelist Joel Burcat for an inspiring evening at Schlow Centre Region Library on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 6:30 PM.
Burcat’s talk, “Your Chapter Two: Reinventing Yourself as a Writer (and Learning to Love the Uncertainty),” explores how he transformed a successful legal career into a full-time writing life—embracing risk, creativity, and reinvention along the way.
He’ll also discuss his latest book, Whiz Kid – A Novel, a historical coming-of-age story co-written with his late father, David S. Burcat, and recently named a Kirkus Reviews Critic’s Pick.
After the program, enjoy a book sale and signing with the author.
