J. Patrick Lemarr, a Texas-born author, found adventure in comic books and genre fiction from an early age. After a string of personal losses, including the deaths of his parents and brother, he channeled his grief into writing. After his debut book, I Am a Broken House (2011), Lemarr shifted from poetry to his first love: genre fiction. He has since published multiple works of fantasy and horror, most recently The Christmas Cabin in 2022.
