In this first author event of the day discover local author John Weber who has written a book about his high seas adventures working on Scandinavian ships as a deckhand. It is a story about travel, but the reader will not find detailed descriptions of cities and countries, mountains or valleys. Instead, it is a story of a lost teenager who found work, a vocation discovered, and journeys through different cultures - where destinations were transitory, and movement was permanent.
This is a free event, John will be chatting with attendees and signing copies.
About the author: JOHN WEBER was born in Nebraska. Having worked on the hig seas, and as a social worker, he is now retired and has taken up the writing life here in the Cowichan Valley.
