About this Event
Come listen to Stevie Hosler talk about Shadow of Lilith, Book 1 in her Devana Collective Chronicles paranormal fantasy series! Stevie will sign books following the event, PLUS Umber Chocolates will be popping up with handmade confections for sale!
About the series: My name is Piper Gorecki, Heir of House Gorecki, Devana blessed and Chosen leader of all vampire hunters. This is my Hunt.
All I see is red.
I can't stop seeing it. Every time I close my eyes, it greets me, eager to send me into a spiral of nightmares. Blood sprayed across the cabin's walls, and the revolting squish of gore beneath my boots will forever haunt me. I can still hear the anguished screams of the ones we could not save, the ones whose screams will now and forever go unheard.
There's something different with the vampire covens lately. Their bloodlust is growing out of control. My partner, Adam, and I have had far too many close calls with ancient vampires over the last few months, yet the Collective Council of Elders doesn't seem concerned.
I don't trust them. They're hiding something from the Hunters, but I am also hiding something from them.
The sickly-sweet stench of death and decay clings to me; I've been touched by it too many times. I can't escape it.
Death stalks my sleep, and so does he.
About the author: I'm an Elder Millennial, forever emo, book addict working on her debut vampire hunter novel, Shadow of Lilith. I've been obsessed with vampires since I was 10 and saw the original Buffy movie with Luke Perry.
Writing is my dream. Since I wrote my first short story at age 9, this is all I have everwanted. Storytelling is my passion and my purpose. I have a background in journalismand technical writing, but it was creative writing that attracted me to the arts. Lifetook me other places, but I've found my way back to storytelling, and I know in mysoul this is what I'm meant for.
Shadow of Lilith is 12 years in the making, inspired by a conversation with a friendabout vampire pop culture. It's a love letter to fans of the cruel, ethereal vampires ofthe 1980s and 1990s. It's a throwback to vampires vs. humans.
Outside of writing, I am an expert in data privacy and risk management. I live inPittsburgh with my husband, son, and our four kitties. I’m an avid reader of fantasy,sci-fi, dark academia, and graphic novels. I love pop-punk music, stand-up comedy, and baking. I am a chapter chair for Silent Book Club and a Little Free Library steward.
