Please join us on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11am for an author event with Jim Douglass.Martyrs of the Unspeakable opens with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and traces a haunting pattern repeated in the murders of Robert Kennedy, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King Jr. In each case, visionary leaders who championed peace and social transformation were ultimately treated as threats to the established order. Jim Douglass argues that by confronting the suppressed stories surrounding their deaths, we can reclaim the prophetic legacy of these martyrs and renew the pursuit of justice and peace in our nation and the world.'
Jim Douglass is a longtime peace activist and author. Together with his wife, Shelley, he co-founded Mary’s House, a Catholic Worker house of hospitality in Birmingham, where they have lived and served for over thirty years.
