About the authors:
Dr. Joel “Gator” Warsh is a Board-Certified Pediatrician in Los Angeles, California who specializes in parenting, wellness and Integrative Medicine. He may be best known for his popular Instagram @DrJoelGator, where he offers weekly parenting and integrative pediatric support, and is the author of the highly anticipated Parenting at Your Child’s Pace: The Integrative Pediatrician’s Guide to the First Three Years (Union Square Publishing, August 6, 2024).
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Dr. Gator completed a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology and Community Health before earning his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) and has worked in private practice in Beverly Hills before founding his current practice, Integrative Pediatrics and Medicine in Studio City, CA, in 2018. Dr. Gator has published research in peer-reviewed journals on topics including childhood injuries, obesity and physical activity.
He has been featured in numerous documentaries, films, summits, podcasts and articles including Broken Brain Podcast with Druh Purohit, Parents, Forbes, The Washington Post, Dr. Nandi Show, CBS, Pix11, NBC, KCAL, LA Parent, Reader’s Digest, MindBodyGreen, and many others. Dr. Gator is also the founder of the Parenting Masterclass Series: Raising Amazing and the supplement line and Tiny Roots Apothecary and is a consultant for high-profile brands in the health and wellness space.
Dr. Gator is married to Holistic Divorce and Family attorney and certified yoga instructor, Sarah Intelligator and they have two young sons. He was given the nickname “Dr. Gator” by his peers after marrying Sarah and the nickname stuck.
Casey Means, MD is a Stanford-trained physician and co-founder of Levels, a health technology company with the mission of reversing the world’s metabolic health crisis and author of the #1 New York Times bestselling book Good Energy, released May 2024. She received her BA with honors and MD from Stanford, was President of her Stanford class, and has served on Stanford faculty. She trained in Head & Neck Surgery before leaving traditional medicine to devote her life to tackling the root cause of why Americans are sick. She has been featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Women’s Health, and more.
