About this EventWe invite you and your family to share in the magic of reading! Spend the morning with us and help us welcome author Sarah Doran to our store where she will be reading, "Peppered Sky." Please join us on stage in the children's department for a special reading followed by an activity for your young ones. Afterwards, she will be signing copies for those who would like to purchase a copy for their child's library.
Celebrate military family life with Haleigh and Mason as they adventure into a world of airborne drop zones, military aircraft and U.S. paratroopers! Readers will develop a deeper appreciation for the Armed Forces by extending beyond the heart-warming story with included educational resources and STEM activity.
About the Author:
Sarah Doran is a military children's book author, wife and homeschooling mama. She lives in Central Texas with her family and mischievous cats. Serving families by creating quality military children's literature is her goal and passion. Sarah's military childhood and service in the Army as a UH60 Blackhawk mechanic and crew chief inspire her stories. When she's not writing or teaching, Sarah enjoys reading, traveling and going to the movies! Each of Sarah's titles includes educational resources to extend beyond the story and further instill an appreciation for members of the Armed Forces and their families.
Special Instructions
This is a book signing event from 11am – 1pm. Come meet the author and hear her read her book. If you would like to have a copy signed, the book must be purchased prior to her personalizing it for your child. If you purchase your book ahead of time, be sure to save the receipt, as the book AND receipt will be required prior to it being signed by the author.
